Chairman's Message

Prof. Zami – SemniWelcome to the International Writers Association for Humanity (IWAH). Thank you very much for visiting our website.

Now, more than ever, with the consolidation of power into the hands of ever larger corporate entities and with the advent of technologies that facilitate the distinguished of writers’ work, writers need an organization with the cloud and know – how to protect our interests. One that will forge new rules for a new era.

IWAH has been working hard over past year to connect the qualified writers who writes for humanity. Recently, IWAH has been closely working with the international universities and colleges on creating syllabus concerning humanity. Our projects have been the result of the effort of all IWAH members who have tirelessly contributed directly and indirectly to do so for IWAH.

Although IWAH originally founded in 2000 it has recently launched the website. For more than 10 years, IWAH kept the connection with its members through news letters and a blogspot with e-mail only. I think IWAH’s website will help to exchanges are the way to bridge building.

I would like to take this opportunity to thank to the staffs of Sri Lankan embassy in France who donated this website for us and to the Webvision Sri Lanka who implemented it.

Thanking You.

Prof. Zami – Semni

General terms of entry

Competitions in IWAH   have a rolling deadline unless otherwise. A story that misses the cut-off point for one issue will simply be included in the next contest.

All entries must be original and previously unpublished – this includes newspapers, magazines, books and websites. Publication on private online forums that are password-protected and in private letters and emails does not count.

The judges' decision is final and no correspondence can be entered into regarding the marking, critique or merits of individual entries or winners. But we welcome feedback on the competitions in general.

By entering, entrants agree for their stories to be published in IWAH’s publishing and syllabuses if successful. We have no current plans to produce anthologies but reserve the right to include any winning entries in any such projects in the future. Copyright remains with the author.

The competitions are open to all nationalities worldwide, but entries must be in English.
